Unlocked and developer edition HTC One M7 getting Sense 6.0 update in the U.S.

HTC has started rolling out Sense 6.0 update for some M7 variants in the U.S. AndroidAuthority is reporting. The Taiwanese company’s product manager Leigh Momii that the update will start with owners of the unlocked and Developer Edition devices, with carrier-specific models likely to follow shortly afterwards.

The 668MB-heavy download will bring a number of changes, all with the brand new Sense UI 6.0, making the M7 looks like the HTC One M8. In addition, there are changes to the Gallery and Camera apps, Blinkfeed improvements, better theme/font support, HTC’s Extreme Power Saving mode and so on.

Next question as far as Americans are concerned is when will this update be released for carrier-specific models. Unfortunately, we don’t have those answers as every operator is doing its own tests before unleashing the latest software to its subscribers. Chances are this will be a short wait, but you never know. Canadians already got the goodies for both unlocked devices and those on Rogers, Bell and TELUS networks, so we would assume the M7 variants sold by the U.S. carriers are coming next.
