Soon-to-be-unveiled VIVO Xshot to rock Snapdragon 801, 3GB of RAM and ultra clear imaging
China’s VIVO was the first handset maker to launch a smartphone with 2K screen. Their Xplay 3S pretty much opened a new era in mobile computing, with its 6-inch display managing to “cope” with 1440 x 2560 pixels.
Like that’s not enough, the company is already working on the next flagship device that will be unveiled soon.
While we still don’t have all the details about the upcoming VIVO Xshot, we do know that it will rock Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 801 chip, 4G LTE connectivity support, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. A powerful camera with ultra clear imaging, fast shooting and “perfect selfies” is also promised, though there’s no word whether it will boast a 2K / QHD screen or not. However, we would be surprised if VIVO opted for a downgrade (compared to the current Xplay 3S).
In addition, the Chinese company promises “ultimate HiFi” experience and a powerful camera with so called X-Zoom technology. We can only hope this includes real optical zoom… but we’re not sure.
Unfortunately though, there’s no word whether VIVO plans to expand its reach to the Western hemisphere. We think they have what it takes to compete but they still have carriers to deal with…
