LG G2 KitKat update rolling out now in some parts of the world
LG has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for its flagship G2 smartphone in some parts of the world, GSMarena is reporting. After South Korea, G2 owners in Saudi Arabia are getting everyone’s favorite candy and we guess other countries in the region will follow shortly. Moreover, after the Middle East is “cleared,” the rollout will likely expand to other countries all around the world.
As it’s usually the case, LG will first serve owners of the unlocked devices, with carrier-specific versions getting the same deal at a later date. The process here is slower as each carrier has to approve the new software to make sure it’s stable enough.
It is said that KitKat further improves the performance of the G2 while also adding few tweaks in the Settings menu as well as the fancier looking white on gray status bas icons. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for too long to experience these changes ourselves…
