Snapdragon-powered Samsung Galaxy S4 gets Kids Mode, KNOX 2.0

Samsung has started rolling out a firmware update for the Snapdragon variant of the (GT-I9505). The process has seemingly started in Germany, though we would guess that other parts of the world will be quick to follow.

Major new things included in this release are the Kids Mode, which turns the smartphone into a safe-for-kids device with tailored content and strict access to services; and enterprise-friendly KNOX 2.0 app/service.

Additionally, the update also improves performance and battery life, while fixing some bugs here and there.

Now, we haven’t tested out the new software but it’s only logical to “push the button” the moment your Galaxy S5 informs you about the update. Make sure your battery if fully charged and that you’re connected to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot to make for a quick’n’easy process. Good luck. ;)
